They removed Countervail from the V13.0 Pro Staff in favor of a more connected-to-the-ball feel and Braid 45 technology. By aligning the Double Braid fibers at a 45-degree angle, the Pro Staff 97 gains an enhanced pocketing feel alongside incredible stability. Another refinement for version 13.0, is the ergonomic-shaped end cap which will help provide more comfort during a longer match, particularly for players who grasp the racquet lower on the grip. Though the string pattern remains 16×19, this Pro Staff 97 utilized string mapping to create a denser string alignment for greater precision and feel across the whole racquet face.
